We Headed East

My husband and I travelled from BC to NS in June of 2008 after much research on the Internet learning about NS on cold winter days last year in the Okanagan Valley. I read with interest the article from Bruce and Jane Emlyn who very much want to come to NS as we too found the BC life just too stressful and longed for the unpretentious and genuine way of life here in this beautiful province. I was born in BC and my husband is from Devon England. We came to settle in BC in 1987 but we were looking for a change for our retirement years so we hitched up our "covered wagon" (Motor Home) and made the 5,500 km trip across this vast country. We had never been to NS but just like you Bruce and Jane we watched the Internet closely and looked at all the properties we could actually afford which were many. We now have a beautiful heritage house in Lawrencetown in the Annapolis Valley and we are so very happy here. We know that we will never go back to BC because we have found our dream life here, so don't give up, you are bound to sell eventually and this is the place to come.
Don't give up your dream !!
