The Man From Away

The opportunity to live anywhere in the world presented itself, when my marriage of thirty-eight years ended. I said goodbye to family, friends, customers, suppliers, my lifetime home of Winnipeg and headed due east to Halifax with my business of twenty-one years, Tangent Strategies Inc., in tow. Newly positioned, strategically evolved ... a rebirth professionally and personally.

I am a salesman by trade, a sales trainer, coach and keynote speaker by profession. I began selling at the age of eleven and have never stopped. What has changed ... my selling philosophy and methodology. What is changing ... the very nature of the North American selling model. Today I bring that new model, in the context of my experience, to my audience as keynote speeches, training seminars and in one-on-one coaching relationships. My affinity for, and to play a role in, the Nova Scotia hospitality and tourism industries is particularly strong.

First introduced to Halifax in the early 1980’s, when the Maritime Provinces were briefly a part of my coast to coast sales territory, I hadn’t been back since. Yet when I reacquainted myself with this historic city last June I knew I had found home. Five months later I came home to Halifax.
