Rany Ibrahim
Rany Ibrahim is the only Nova Scotian nominated among the Top 75 finalists in the fourth annual Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards. The awards are a program of Canadian Immigrant Magazine and RBC Royal Bank.
Ibrahim is a Marketing Program Manager at the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration, a part-time professor of International Business Strategy at Dalhousie University Faculty of Management, and a governor at Cape Breton University.
Originally from Egypt, he has called Halifax his home for the past nine years. He has inspired immigrants through his involvement as a volunteer with Fusion Halifax Diversity and dedicates significant efforts to building a welcoming environment for new arrivals to Nova Scotia from his role at the Office of Immigration.
Nova Scotians are encouraged to visit http://www.canadianimmigrant.ca/top25 before April 13, 2012 to cast their vote for the most inspiring finalists who represent diverse ethnic communities and cultures across Canada.
The awards program serves to uncover and celebrate the inspiring stories and remarkable achievements of Canadian immigrants from all walks of life who strive to make this country a better place. The call-for-nominations phase that launched the 2012 awards program last November garnered hundreds of submissions over a two-month period.
