Laurentian Energy operates a dockside steel-fabrication facility within the Sydport Marine Industrial Park, and is winning new business in Alberta, the U.S. and Europe. Laurentian recently manufactured drill-rig components for one of the world's largest oil and gas drilling contractors, and has just secured a second order. Laurentian is working to develop a state-of-the-art container terminal adjacent to Sydport. The site has the perfect configuration for a multimodal terminal and logistics park and, combined with the existing rail service and a world-class deep and protected harbour, Sydport offers the shipping industry the most competitive economics anywhere in North America.
