With Lunenburg being the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, New Ross is known to locals as Christmas Tree Capital of Lunenburg! The area becomes a bustle of activity at the first snow fall with local Christmas tree producers readying shipments to as far away as Europe and California. For the past eight years there is even an increasingly popular New Ross Christmas Festival, where families and kids of all ages can join in events to experience a traditional country Christmas throughout the Festival weekend. Best of all visitors can pick out their very own ‘New Ross’ Christmas Tree to take home.
