Since 2005, 89 Nova Scotian businesses and organizations from across the province have signed on as charter members of Nova Scotia Come to life.  These supporters, such as MedMira, Keane, Glenora Distillery, Credit Union Atlantic, Acadia University and more, all share in the vision and message that Nova Scotia is a great place to life, work, play, and visit.   A partnership between public and private sectors, Come to life seeks to share the stories of success illustrated by our charter members and as the list continues to grow so does the reach of our influence.  On June 3rd in Truro, Nova Scotia Come to life will host the latest Charter Day where the newest charter members will pledge their support in sharing the stories of Nova Scotia's success and achievements with the world.   The lunch time event will begin at 11:30 AM and run until approximately 1:00 PM at the Holiday Inn (formerly the Truro Hotel) at 437 Prince Street in Truro.  For more information email novascotialife@gov.ns.ca

Together we are chaning the way people see Nova Scotia - improving our image. Charter Members, such as the Brain Repair Centre, CVision, EastLink, NSCC and more, all share in the vision and message that Nova Scotia is a great place to live, work, play, and visit. On July 3rd in Halifax, Nova Scotia Come to life will host its second Charter Day of the spring. Premier Rodney MacDonald will be there to welcome the newest charter members from this region. The lunch time event will begin at 12:00 PM and run until approximately 2:00 PM in the Chrysler Canada Welcome Pavilion at Pier 21, 1055 Marginal Road, Halifax. Halifax producer/writer/director Chaz Thorne’s black comedy “Just Buried” – shot in Halifax and Windsor, Nova Scotia – is being released nationally in select theatres this Friday.

National theatrical release is hard to get and Chaz earned it with his feature film directorial debut!

JUST BURIED stars JAY BARUCHEL (Knocked Up, Million Dollar Baby and the upcoming Tropic Thunder) and ROSE BYRNE (28 Weeks Later, Sunshine and TV's Damages with Glenn Close)

This dark comedy is about a guy who inherits a funeral home but has no customers so he has to start bumping off townsfolk.

How a film does on opening weekend is what determines if it stays in theatres so make sure you check it out with EVERYONE you know on Friday or Saturday night.
