Kings Regional Development Agency
In Kings County, Nova Scotia, it's our job to lead our community to the brighter future that we all want for ourselves and our children. The Kings Regional Development Agency (Kings RDA) is made up of a small group of professionals who dream of a brighter future for our community and then do all we can to make it happen. Our goal is simple: to discover and develop innovative ideas which will enhance the prosperity of Kings County through local initiatives.
The Kings RDA is the regional development authority for Kings County. The Regional Development Authorities (there are 13 across Nova Scotia) were created to lead local initiatives designed and funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), Nova Scotia Economic and Rural Development, Nova Scotia Department of Community Services, and in Kings County, funded by all four municipalities in the county (Municipality of the County of Kings, Town of Berwick, Town of Kentville and Town of Wolfville).
On the business front, Kings RDA works to attract new businesses and retain and foster the expansion of existing businesses. On behalf of non-profit organizations, it develops strategic organizational plans that allow them to capture opportunities and solve problems.
With regard to municipalities, it helps the municipalities in Kings County to develop and implement well focused strategic plans and effective projects to meet their communities' economic, social and environmental goals.
