The Bay Hammock Company, located in Seabright, Nova Scotia, makes hand made hammocks, hammock swings and custom-size shade sails which are sold across North America.

The main focus of our company is on hand made quality and comfort.

We are also a member of the Atlantic Econo Musee Network so a visit to The Bay Hammock Company is more than a visit to a retail shop. It is a trip into the world of historical craft and fun, rope making, hammock weaving and product testing (that's your job). Our goal is to make naptime one of the most relaxing experiences you will ever have.

What do Nova Scotia and Alberta have in common when it comes to manufacturing? Well, many might not realize it, but manufacturing makes up approximately 10 per cent of our province's Gross Domestic Product--the same percentage as Alberta. And this number hasn't changed much over the last 20 years.

"We've held our own," said Ann Janega, vice president of the Nova Scotia Division of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME). "It shows that manufacturing is working smarter and is greatly contributing to the economy of Nova Scotia."
